.. include:: ../text_colors.rst .. toctree:: .. _maintenance_guidelines: =============================================== Service Life and Maintenance Recommendations =============================================== Vertiq modules are designed for repeated use and tested for operation under representative operating conditions. Service life may vary depending on application, loading, environmental conditions, and normal manufacturing variation. As with other commercial and defense UAS propulsion systems, regular inspection is recommended to ensure continued safe and reliable operation. Vertiq recommends that operators manually inspect motors every 20 flight hours for signs of excessive bearing play, abnormal noise, rubbing, blockage, or deformation. Components exhibiting these conditions should be removed from service and replaced as appropriate. Vertiq also recommends that drone manufacturers implement periodic system health checks at 20-hour intervals to verify proper motor functionality and ESC electrical performance throughout the operational life of the aircraft.
